I am Elen (pronounced like Ellen), born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I'm currently based in the great state of Texas.

I help 9-5ers enjoy their PTO through my travel planning services and easy-to-use blog posts, so they can better use their precious time off instead of being overwhelmed by sifting through countless travel resources.

I have been to almost 30 countries, most of them while having a full-time job. Like you, I know what it's like to have a 9-5 job and limited time to travel. And like me, you are always on the lookout for unique experiences.

Now I want to help you make your dream trip come true. If you're struggling to put together a travel itinerary or don't even know how to start planning your next trip, I'm here for you! You can count on me to travel more, and I'll make sure you don't waste your well-earned PTO.

What began as a blog to share expat experience in Indonesia has turned into a travel planning hub.

I left Brazil in 2017 to move to Jakarta, Indonesia. I spent my entire adulthood working and had a solid career of 8 years in Financial Planning and Analysis. But then, I saw myself without a job and with all the free time in the world.

Coincidently, when I told people I was leaving Brazil to move to Jakarta, I realized that many of them didn't know where it was on the map. Sadly, people thought Indonesia was just Bali, or that Indonesia was part of Bali, or knew nothing at all.

With that, I decided to create a blog as a creative outlet to put Jakarta and other Indonesian destinations on the radar. So I took my time to experience the places and share the content in a curated way - after my own trial and error.

Fast forward, after two years in Indonesia, I moved to Houston and went back to my 9-5 life. I resumed my professional career in FP&A, and the mission I had with the blog of sharing Indonesian destinations could no longer be fulfilled since I was across the globe and had limited PTO.

But despite my limited vacation days, I continued traveling. I managed to explore the US in such a short period while people at the office weren't.

And just like that, I found my new mission: Help 9-5ers, people with full-time jobs, to travel more.
