I am Elen and I curate travel experiences. I am here to guide you in planning your next vacation.
Like you, I know what it's like to have a 9-5 job and limited time to travel. Like me, you are always on the lookout for unique experiences. I've created my own travel itineraries for 24 countries across 4 continents. I've experienced unforgettable travels in major cities like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Toronto, and Paris. I've also made itineraries for lesser-known destinations like my 2-week trip around Peru, week-long adventures in Patagonia and Sulawesi, and 2+ years living and traveling as an expat in Indonesia. You could say I'm used to handpicking and developing trips that highlight the best of places, whether remote or popular.
What began as a blog to share expat experience in Indonesia has turned into a travel planning hub.
When I first told people I was leaving Brazil to move to Jakarta, I realized that a lot of them didn't have any idea of where it was on the map. Sadly, people thought Indonesia was just Bali, or that Indonesia was part of Bali, or knew nothing at all.
While living in Indonesia, I wanted to travel as much as possible throughout the country but, apart from Bali, it was difficult to find information about the many islands/cities/places within the country. There were some blog posts in English, but not as in depth as I wanted, and very little in Portuguese.
Considering I didn't have a work visa, I decided to create a blog as a creative outlet with a mission of putting Jakarta and other Indonesian destinations on the radar. I took my time to really experience the places and share the content in a curated way, after my own trial and errors.
Now that I am in Houston, I've decided to expand the blog to include a wider set of destinations, not only focusing in Indonesia and Asia, and offering help for those in planning the next vacation.
