MOJA is the most recent museum in Jakarta – having opened its doors in October 2018 – and brings an interactive museum concept to the city. Inside, there are 14 rooms where visitors experience total interaction, from a space with arcade games to a ball pit.
At MOJA, you can have a different experience in the city – and take unlimited photos.
The highlights at MOJA are Charlie and the Millennial Pink Candy Room, with its pink decor and Pac-Man panel; Cloudy with a Swing of Happiness, a room with colorful swings, rainbow motif, and floor with fabrics, giving the impression of being clouds, as you sway over them; The Godfather Red Room, with walls full of newspaper clippings and magazines, and with an LED panel written You’re my million dollar view; The School of Disco, a dark room with a disco ball, where the light changes according to the music; and The Pursuit of Butter, inspired by a cinema, where everyone can relive their childhood moments playing inside a ball pit full of yellow and white balls – like popcorn.
The rules of the MOJA are very simple: you’re allowed to use a professional camera, and each group can stay up to 2 minutes in certain rooms (such as the room with the disco ball and the other with the swings) so as not to disturb the experience of the visitors; and after you move onto the next room, you cannot go back to the previous one.
MOJA opens daily from 11 am to 7 pm and tickets can be purchased directly there for 100,000 IDR for adults during the week and 125,000 IDR for weekends (children under 6 and adults over 65 pay 90,000 IDR and 100,000 IDR).
If you are looking for a fun and different activity in Jakarta to get away from the malls, be sure to visit MOJA.
